About the film:

Grindhouse Releasing is proud to present William Shatner in the most shocking role of his career: IMPULSE!

Newly restored in 4K, IMPULSE appears for the first time on Blu-ray in a sensational deluxe collector’s edition stacked with over 15 hours of extras including two bonus feature films, interviews, commentary, and more surprises!

Shatner stars in IMPULSE as con man Matt Stone, a psychopathic gigolo who preys on lonely widows. The supporting cast includes Jenifer Bishop, Ruth Roman (Hitchcock’s STRANGERS ON A TRAIN), Kim Nicholas, special guest star, Bond villain Harold “Odd Job” Sakata (GOLDFINGER).

IMPULSE was directed by legendary exploitation filmmaker William Grefé (STANLEY, MAKO: THE JAWS OF DEATH). The new restoration of IMPULSE was produced by Academy Award-winning film editor Bob Murawski (Sam Raimi’s SPIDER-MAN 1, 2 & 3 and DR. STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS).

After debuting the film with William Shatner in person in a sold-out show at BeyondFest in Los Angeles, Grindhouse is now taking IMPULSE to theaters around the country in support of the Blu-ray release.

A grim, unrelenting study of a psychopathic killer. Shatner is surprisingly strong in an enormously demanding role.“- Box Office Magazine

Well-crafted and effective… flowing with Grefe’s scalpel-sharp direction.” – Alex Ben Block, The Miami News

Shatner is incredible and frightening during his lapses into insanity. There are a number of vividly horrifying murder scenes which make even adults cringe.” – Perry Fulkerson, The Evening Independent

William Shatner is very effective in it. It’s a performance right up there with his work in THE INTRUDER.“- Joe Leydon, Variety

IMPULSE, with its exciting camera work, local flavor, and terrific performances, especially from Shatner as the sociopathic main character, just might be the pinnacle of Grefé’s career. It has all of the punchy, violent power of the best films by Samuel Fuller and Robert Aldrich, and Grefé shares with those artists an understanding of a specific kind of sickness in the underbelly of America that is taking its toll on mainstream society.” – Jim Healy, Wisconsin Film Festival
